Waffling Wednesday

Thank you Chibi Janine for the tip on ArtRage for digital art.. here is my very first (very quick!) attempt at producing something!   I e-mailed it to Mr H. last night; I hope he appreciates the 10 minutes I spent on it :-P  It would definitely be easier with an art tablet than a mouse...

I was just playing with the different effects (I LOVE the glitter!) - I think the description would be "Digital; Childlike" haha.

Tonight I am invited to dinner at my boss's house, which isn't as bad as it sounds ;-)  He and his wife and two teenage children live in a lovely cottage out on the Forest and are very chilled out. His wife is a Occupational Therapist for the NHS, and one of those people who is always smiling.   I always panic when I am going somewhere with teenage children who I don't know very well, because I think I'll have nothing to say; and I'm terrified of coming out with something crap like "How's school?"   ah well I'm sure it will be fine, and it will be nice to get out.

And tomorrow morning Mr H. is home!! (dances).  Hurrah hurrah.  He's staying with a friend in the Cotswolds tonight and has to be here by 10.30am for a meeting with a pensions adviser - yippee.  But then we have 4 whole days together :-)  There isn't too much on the to-do list, but cutting firewood is right up there; it's getting chilly around these parts....

  1. Glad you're enjoying artrage.

An art tablet certainly makes drawing easier though they do take a little getting used to.

I'm just waiting for some replacement nibs for my art tablet pen to arrive as I wore the nib down.

I look forward to seeing more of your art work. Enjoy your time out and the 4 days with Mr H

  2. Ohhhhhh....crayons!!!!! :-)

    NOW we're talkin'!

k....virtual crayons--but crayons none the less!

    :-)

Enjoy yourself--ask the teens about ArtRage and they'll give you an education, no doubt.
And let himself cut and lug in the firewood. Or maybe you can balance and cut and he can haul?

Nah...LOL You can supervise well, I'm sure. ;-)

  3. I really like the ability to create digital childlike art to support my ideas. I am forever using clip art, but I'm stuck with images that did not originate in my mind. I must give it a go.

  5. JJ, I've never tried digital art before, it's great fun. You should definitely try it!

Joe, I had a lovely evening thanks. The boss's kids are fantastic, they have grown up so much since I last saw them! they are 15 and 18 and very chatty and relaxed.

Mr H. won't let me do anything to help, he's very strict at the moment. Normally we take turns with the chainsaw ;-)

  7. Ooohhh digital art...now there is something I fancy having a go at! Humph...at this rate I think I'll have to give up sleep to be able to do all the things i want to!

Love your pic...and I really hope you didn't ask them how school was! Still, I suppose it would be better than saying 'How's it hanging?' whilst doing gangsta hand gestures to prove that you are down with the kids :-)

Have a wonderful 4 days with Mr

  9. Carol - I didn't even have to try with the kids, they are very cool and intelligent so we talked about history and all sorts. :-)

Janie - haha no euphemisms around here at the moment I'm afraid :-P
