Thematic Photographic - Still Life

It wasn't hard to decide what to photograph for this week's Thematic Photographic.. "Still Life".

Most of these bears, dogs and the rabbit date back to my youth.  'Chocolate', the bear on the far left, memorably fell onto the railway track once when I was getting on a train; I was understandably traumatised until a friendly guard hooked him off the rails for me, phew!

  1. Ah, these are delightful! They sure don't make stuffies like they used to. I wish I still had mine from childhood. But since I don't, I'll just revel in this wonderful shot and enjoy yours vicariously.

What a great contribution to the Still Life theme. You've seriously got some mad photographic skills!

  5. JJ, it is an old suitcase, probably inherited from somewhere in the family! It was my bears' home when they got relegated to the loft for a while while we were doing some dirty work in the house; when they came out to keep me company I decided it was a good place for them to sit!

  9. Brilliant, the bunny looks a little bit affronted at being considered a still life, "plenty of life left yet in this old bunny":)

  12. Thank you Karen!

The lighting/colour effect is a bit of a cheat - it's a setting on the camera called Colour Accent, and it likes yellow ;-) I thought it worked really well on these old fellows.
